Boeung Kak lake

I visited the former Boeung Kak lake area where the previous years 1.500 families were forcibly evicted but the mosque is allowed to be built there. The lake was filled with sand by Shukaku Inc which was granted the lease for a $79 million development of the Boeung Kak lake area of Phnom Penh in 2007.

The newly built Alserkal Mosque mosque privately funded by a Dubai-based businessman at a cost of $2.9 million and was inaugurated by PM Hun Sen.

Neak Loeung Tsubasa Bridge
